The MPC 2000 with a non-gas flow detector is ideal for any application requiring maximum mobility and minimal operating requirements. It is perfect for rapid response teams, initial screening in the field, and for any application where a high pressure gas bottle is not available. System performance is excellent, and the operating features of the MPC-2000 provide every critical laboratory based functions. The control system of the MPC-2000 is based on the widely used WPC-9550 automatic system from Protean. Twelve sample counting routines, four quality control routines, mass correction, and count to MDA function exactly like the WPC-9550. Laboratory users familiar with the WPC-9550 can operate the MPC-2000 with no retraining. Likewise, field based uses who can operate the MPC-2000 can immediately operate a WPC-9550. The desktop sized MPC-2000 uses components and design concepts common to other Protean alpha/beta systems. This guarantees a system that is inexpensive and extremely easy to maintain.

The MPC-2000 with a non-gas flow detector has all of the features present in the MPC-2000 with gas flow detector or with a GM detector. It is a true "Dual Control" system, allowing complete operation from a PC with Protean control software or from the built-in keypad. The system includes an interface to a PC. The cable and adapter used on the PC are an inexpensive option.
